The fine print
How refunds, delivery, your files, and your data work. Questions about any of it? Contact us.
Refund Policy
Before printing begins, you can cancel your order for a full refund. Once printing has started, these rules apply.
We'll reprint or refund your order if:
- It has a print defect we caused, like warping, stringing, layer separation, or layer shift.
- It was printed in the wrong color or material.
- It was damaged in shipping.
We can't reprint or refund it if:
- The problem comes from the design itself. The result depends on the file you supply, and there's only so much we can do as the printer.
- We pointed out a possible problem and you asked us to print anyway.
- It's a normal part of 3D printing, like visible layer lines, small support marks, or minor seams.
- The part was damaged after delivery by heat, modification, misuse, or improper handling, or failed while being used for something it wasn't suited for. See section 5 of our Terms of Service.
How to make a claim
Email cole@lubbock3dprinting.com within 7 days of receiving your order, with your order number and photos of the problem. If we approve the claim, we'll reprint the part or refund what you paid for it.
Shipping Policy
Every order is custom printed after you approve and pay for a verified quote. You choose how to get it when you request your quote, and the cost is included in your verified quote.
Delivery options
- Free local meetup. We'll set a time and a public place in Lubbock that works for you.
- Local delivery: $10. Dropped off at an address within 20 miles of Lubbock. We check the address when you request your quote.
- Shipping: USPS rates. Shipped anywhere in the United States. We add the actual USPS rate for your package when we verify your quote, so you see the exact cost before you pay.
We currently ship within the United States only.
When your order ships
Printing starts after payment. How long it takes depends on the size and number of parts and on our print queue, and we'll give you an estimate with your quote. Turnaround times are estimates, not guarantees. If we can't meet a date you asked for, we'll tell you, and you can cancel for a refund of any work not yet done.
You'll get an email when your order is printing, when it's ready, and when it ships, with USPS tracking.
Your address
We check delivery and shipping addresses when you request your quote, and you can change yours before you pay. Please make sure it's correct. If a package is returned or lost because of an incorrect address, reshipping costs are your responsibility.
Packaging
Parts are packed to protect them in transit. Fragile or thin parts may need a larger box, which is reflected in the shipping rate on your quote.
Damaged, lost, or late packages
- Damaged in shipping: email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the part and the packaging. We'll reprint or refund it under our Refund Policy.
- Lost: if tracking hasn't updated in 7 days or shows delivered but you don't have it, email us. We'll work with USPS to find it, and if it's confirmed lost, we'll reprint or refund it.
- Delays: once a package is handed to USPS, delivery times are up to them and we can't guarantee them.
Responsibility for your order
Your order becomes your responsibility when it's picked up, delivered, or handed to USPS. Orders not picked up within 30 days of completion may be recycled without a refund.
Questions
Email cole@lubbock3dprinting.com, or message us from your quote.
Your files stay yours
We use the files you upload only to quote and print your order. We never sell or share them, and we don't reprint them for anyone else.
- Files are stored in Google Drive and deleted automatically 45 days after you send them, or sooner if you ask.
- Want a file kept for reprints? Just ask in your quote's messages.
- You're responsible for having the right to print the files you send. See the Terms tab for details.
Your account
Accounts are run by Shopify. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email, so there's no password for us to store. Payments are processed by Shopify, and we never see your full card number.
What we can see
Your name, email, phone and address if you give them, your order history, your files, and the messages you send us. That's what we need to quote, print, and deliver your order.
Photos of your print
We only share a photo of your finished print if you tick the box when you request your quote. Nothing marked confidential is ever posted.

Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, requesting a quote, placing an order, submitting a file, or using the website of Lubbock 3D Printing ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not place an order or submit files.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
2. Our Services and Orders
We provide custom FDM 3D printing of files supplied by customers. We do not currently offer 3D modeling, design, engineering, or file repair services. We print your part as you specify it; we do not design it, test it, or certify it for any use.
- Estimates and quotes. When you upload a file or send a link, our system calculates an automatic estimate from the file, material, and settings you choose. Estimates are accurate but not guaranteed. Every estimate is reviewed by us before it becomes a verified quote. The verified quote is the price you pay, and it includes print time, filament, and any delivery or shipping you select. Verified quotes are valid for 14 days and may change if the file or requirements change.
- An order is confirmed only when you approve a verified quote and pay for it through our checkout.
- We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, including orders we believe violate these Terms or could be unsafe. If we cancel, any payment for work not yet performed will be refunded.
- Previews and samples you approve are treated as acceptance of the design, scale, orientation, and settings shown.
3. Customer-Supplied Files and Permission to Print
When you submit a file for us to print, you take full responsibility for having the legal right to have that file printed. By submitting a file, you confirm that:
- You own the design, or you have permission from the owner to have it printed, including for any commercial use, resale, or distribution you intend.
- Printing the file does not infringe anyone's rights, including copyrights, trademarks, patents, design rights, or license terms (for example, "non-commercial" or "personal use only" licenses on downloaded models).
- You will follow the license terms of any file you did not create yourself.
We do not verify ownership or licensing of submitted files. We may refuse any file we believe infringes intellectual property, and we will cooperate with valid rights-holder requests, which may include removing files and cancelling orders.
4. Design Responsibility and Printability
You are responsible for the accuracy, dimensions, scale, units, tolerances, and fit of any file you supply, and for any print settings you choose. We perform a basic printability check and will tell you about obvious problems we notice before printing, but this check is not an engineering or safety review and does not guarantee that a design will function, fit, hold a load, or look as intended.
Print defects caused by the design itself (thin walls, unsupported features, non-manifold geometry, incorrect scale or units) are not our responsibility. If we point out a potential problem and you ask us to print anyway, you accept the result.
5. Safety, Intended Use, and Products You Design
You are the designer of any part made from your file, and you are solely responsible for whether it is safe and suitable for how you use it. We act only as a fabricator that prints your design to your specifications.
- No safety rating. Printed parts are not tested, rated, or certified for strength, safety, or any standard. FDM prints are built in layers and can be weaker between layers, can crack or break suddenly, can have sharp edges, and can soften, deform, or fail with heat, sunlight, chemicals, or age. Printed parts are not food-safe.
- Uses we do not support. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, do not use printed parts where failure could cause injury, illness, or property damage, including: holding a person or anything overhead; climbing, safety, or protective equipment; vehicle, brake, steering, or other critical machine parts; parts under pressure, heat, or electrical load; medical or body-contact devices; anything that touches food or drink; and toys or other items for children (small parts can be a choking hazard).
- Test before you rely on it. You agree to inspect and test every part for your use before relying on it, and to stop using any part that shows wear, cracking, or deformation.
- Tell us how it will be used. Telling us the intended use helps us suggest materials and settings, but our suggestions are not engineering advice and do not make us responsible for the part's performance or safety.
- Assumption of risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk of injury, illness, death, or property damage arising from the use, misuse, modification, or failure of any part made from your design or used for a purpose we were not told about in writing.
- Selling or giving away parts. If you resell, distribute, or give away parts we print for you, you are the maker of that product. You are responsible for its design, testing, labeling, warnings, legal and regulatory compliance (including rules for children's products), and any insurance, and for any claims from the people who receive or use it.
6. Prohibited Items
We will not print, and you may not submit files for:
- Firearms, firearm components, or other weapons
- Items that infringe intellectual property (counterfeit parts, unlicensed branded or character merchandise)
- Items intended for illegal use or that are illegal to possess
- Obscene, hateful, or harassing content
We may refuse any order at our discretion without giving a reason.
7. Pricing, Payment, and Delivery
- Pricing: Prices are based on print hours and filament used, as described on our Pricing page. Print time is $2.50 per hour. Filament is charged by weight. All orders have a $15 minimum, before delivery or shipping. Sales tax, if any, is added at checkout.
- Payment: Payment in full is due before printing begins and is made through Shopify's secure checkout.
- Turnaround: Turnaround times we give are estimates, not guarantees. If we cannot meet a stated date, we will tell you and you may cancel for a refund of any work not yet performed.
- Pickup, delivery, and shipping: We offer a free local meetup in Lubbock, local delivery within 20 miles for $10, and shipping within the US at current USPS rates. Responsibility for the order passes to you when it is picked up, delivered, or handed to the carrier. Shipping damage claims are handled under our Refund Policy.
- Unclaimed orders: Orders not picked up within 30 days of completion may be recycled without refund.
8. Warranties and Limitation of Liability
Our only promise about the quality of a print is the one in our Refund Policy: if a part has a print defect we caused, we will reprint or refund it.
Warranty disclaimer. EXCEPT AS STATED IN OUR REFUND POLICY, ITEMS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
Limitation of liability. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO AN ORDER IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THAT ORDER. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE USE, MISUSE, OR FAILURE OF A PART MADE FROM YOUR DESIGN, MISSED DEADLINES, OR LOST PROFITS.
Some places do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded or limited, so some of these limits may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Lubbock 3D Printing and its owner from any claims, damages, losses, injuries, legal fees, or costs arising from: a file you submitted or our printing of it, including any claim that it infringes someone else's rights; the use, misuse, modification, resale, or distribution of any part made from your design, including claims by you or anyone else for personal injury, death, or property damage; or your breach of these Terms.
10. Accounts, Files, and Your Information
Your account. Accounts are provided by Shopify. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, so there is no password for us to store. Payments are processed by Shopify, and we never see your full card number. You are responsible for the email address you sign in with and for requests made from your account. To close your account or have your information deleted, email us.
What we can see. To quote and fulfill your orders, we can see your name, email, phone number and address if you provide them, your order and quote history, the files and links you send, and the messages you send us.
Your files stay yours. We use submitted files only to quote and fulfill your order. We do not sell, share, or reprint your files for anyone else. Uploaded files are stored in Google Drive and deleted automatically 45 days after you send them, or sooner on request. If you'd like us to keep a file longer for reprints, just ask.
Photos of work. We only share photos of your finished print if you give permission when you request your quote. We will not post anything you mark as confidential.
Our Privacy Policy explains in more detail how we handle your information.
11. Other Terms
Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. The version on our website when you place an order applies to that order.
Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Lubbock County, Texas, except where your local law requires otherwise.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Lubbock 3D Printing ("we," "us," "our") runs this website and our custom 3D printing service (the "Services"). The Services are powered by Shopify. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. By using the Services, you agree to this policy. If it conflicts with our Terms of Service, this policy controls for how we handle personal information.
Information We Collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number and delivery or shipping address.
- Account information: your account is run by Shopify and you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. There is no password, and we never see or store one.
- Payment information: payments are processed by Shopify. We see the order total and payment status, but never your full card number or bank details.
- Quote and order information: the files and links you send us, the material and print settings you choose, quotes, orders, and order history.
- Messages: anything you send us through your quotes, our contact form, or email.
- Device and usage information: information collected automatically when you visit, such as your browser, device, IP address, pages viewed, and actions like creating an account or requesting a quote, through cookies and similar tools from Shopify and Meta (see "Advertising" below).
How We Use It
- To prepare estimates and quotes, print and deliver your order, and process payments.
- To email you about your quotes and orders, and to answer your messages.
- To run, secure, and improve the Services and prevent fraud.
- To send marketing emails only if you sign up for our email list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To show our ads to people who may be interested, and to measure whether our ads work.
- To comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
Your Files
Files you upload are used only to quote and print your order. They are processed on our quote server and stored in Google Drive, and are deleted automatically 45 days after you send them unless you ask us to keep them for reprints. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time. We never sell or share your files, and we don't print them for anyone else.
Who We Share It With
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with services that help us run and advertise the business, and only as much as they need:
- Shopify, which hosts our store and handles accounts, checkout, and payments.
- Google (Google Drive and Gmail), which stores uploaded files and sends our quote and order emails.
- Our cloud server provider, which hosts the server that calculates estimates from your files.
- The US Census Bureau address service, which checks delivery and shipping addresses you enter. It receives only the address.
- USPS, when we ship an order to you.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for advertising, as described below.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Advertising
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To do that, we use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API, which share information about your activity on our site with Meta, such as pages you view, when you create an account or request a quote, and order information. This can include hashed (scrambled) contact details like your email address or phone number, so Meta can match the activity to a Facebook or Instagram account ("advanced matching"). We never share your files, your messages, or your full address with Meta for advertising.
Meta uses this information to show our ads to people who may be interested, including people who have already visited our site, and to tell us how well our ads work. Meta's use of the information is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
Shopify may also use information about your activity for personalized advertising across stores.
Your choices:
- Opt out of advertising data sharing from our site on our opt-out page. Depending on where you live, this may also be called opting out of "targeted advertising" or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.
- If you visit with the Global Privacy Control signal turned on, we treat it as an opt-out request for that browser.
- Choose your cookie preferences in the cookie banner, where one is shown.
- Disconnect activity from other websites from your Facebook account in Facebook's Off-Facebook Activity settings, and adjust your Facebook ad preferences.
Relationship with Shopify
Shopify processes personal information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve them. To learn how Shopify uses your information and what rights you have, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal.
How Long We Keep It
Uploaded files are deleted after 45 days unless you ask us to keep them. Quotes, orders, and messages are kept as long as needed to provide the Services, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to what we're legally required to keep.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, email us. We may need to verify your identity first, and we won't treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
The Services are not meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and limit access to your information, but no method of storing or sending information is completely secure. Please don't send sensitive personal information through quote messages.
Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version and its date will always be on this page.
